Man of the match!
It was a proud moment when Andrew won man of the match for his cricket grand final yesterday! His team won the GF and he took 6 wickets which was a great achievement. The game went over 3 days due to rain last weekend and I made it to watch last Sun and yesterday. Was definitely a cricket novice but understand a bit more now.
The nice thing about it is that everyone in the club is really friendly and many have known each other for years through the club, their kids and schools in the local area so it is a very community-oriented atmosphere. I could really see the value of this, as I have often found in cities that people are quite disconnected from neighbours and the local community.
Had a celebratory party last night at the home of the one of the players and everyone was in high spirits of course. There were a few speeches and lots of cricket talk!

Hey, Andy, your smile is bigger than ever and so it should be. Congratulations on this great honour. I bet you were proud, Ruthie. I enjoyed seeing your medal. The day and evening events would have been friendly and fun.
Keep up the good work with your fun activities
I enjoy your little stories, Ruth XX
Thanks Rose! It was a good day
The club had 6 teams make the finals and four of those sides got to the grand final, however only the fourths pulled off the win, but good for the club
I enjoy the cricket because it keeps me fit over the summer and the club is very sociable. I like Ruth’s little stories too
Hey, Andy
‘Laughter is the best medicine’ is an old saying.
I think you’re the happiest man on the planet. I think a few others should take a leaf out of your book and radiate happiness like you do.
Keep those happy stories coming, Ruthie.XXXXXXXXXX
Yes I’m always surprised that even when things go wrong, Andrew laughs!!! It is a very admirable quality.
He’s one out of the box….you’re so lucky to have him for your soulmate.
You’re a happy couple to be sure. Keep smiling!!
