Howzat!

Andrew’s cricket club needed to update their website.  I’ll be frank – the old one looked pretty bad i.e. website style from the beginnings of the Internet with flashing graphics, frames and tacky images.

Had a really positive outcome by using a free sample CSS layout from MaxDesign to create a simple, standards-based design that is a cinch for the cricket boys to update and maintain.  We were able to create it in one afternoon. I find it inspiring that people so generously make such resources available free of charge which take a considerable amount of time and effort to produce.

Hi Mozzee. Thank you very much for the kind words!

Thanks for the template Russ :) Really helps the cricket club out because the club is not a business and is really a community based entity. It is good that there are templates about that can help clubs that do not have web design experience!

Well done with the website. It is inspiring how much help is out there for community organisations.

I have seen that a lot with Amana this year – we have a very small budget but have been able to update our website using IT volunteers from the US and India. I really like the open-source approach.

That’s fantastic! I didn’t know you had done that at Amana. I have heard about online volunteering.
