Luna Park, Noosa and loss of wisdom
It has been a hectic month with lots of fun and a bit of pain to end it off.

Joined Andrew for his last weekend in Sydney and the end of his training programme for the new role. A highlight of the weekend was a visit to Luna Park on the Saturday night after a great Indian meal with Amit, Dave and Nick. I felt like a kid again - I think the last time I went there, I was in primary school.
It was so fun - we bought a ticket which gave us entry to Coney Island, a game of clowns and a ride on the ferris wheel. It was excellent swooping down the slides on a hessian bag and the view from the ferris wheel was spectacular. A huge vehicle carrier came in while we were up there.
A couple of weekends later we travelled to Noosa for Andrew’s Aunt’s 50th birthday party. It was glorious basking in 27 degrees and swimming in the ocean compared to a very chilly Melbourne at that time. Found it so relaxing there and it was great to spend some time with Andrew’s family who all came up for it.
Had some friends to stay a couple of weekends ago which involved playing scrabble and a visit to Williamstown on the opposite side of Port Phillip Bay to the city. It was a beautiful afternoon walking along the jetty with all the sailing boats moored there. We found an excellent creperie which does French galettes and crepes as well as cider. Yummy!
Yesterday I had my two bottom wisdom teeth removed in hospital as they were impacted and causing problems with my gums. I’m a bit swollen up today and sore but nothing too bad. Just taking it easy and slurping up jelly, custard and soup. I get to take a week off work which is pretty cool - I’m seeing it more as a rest than anything else.

Does that mean you are left with half the wisdom?
I have had a premolar extracted once and the anxiety of it all was enough to drive me insame. All went well though and its a distant memory now but it was scary!! Glad you’re on the mend and resting up.
We both loved Williamstown… such an olde world feeling to that lovely little spot. Luna Park was great fun too!! How soon time flies!!
Yes am only half as wise now.
It would have been scarier having it done in the chair I think. I had a general anaesthetic so didn’t know a thing. Just woke up with an ice pack round my face. The right side is more swollen and painful than the left - that one must have been more difficult to remove.
I didn’t realise you guys went to Williamstown - good to see the pics.
I can’t wait to try the creperie - Melbourne gets more and more tempting.
I hope you recovr soon and can enjoy your week off work.
Hope all is back to normal re your toothy pegs….and you’re enjoying a lovely week of R&R. It must be heaven not to have that alarm blaring forth each morning.
Your recent jaunts were so much fun. I look forward to seeing the sights of Melb in Jan.
Thanks all. Still in a bit of pain and tongue half numb. That apparently can last days, weeks, months or even in severe cases forever! I’m sincerely hoping it’s not the latter. Otherwise I’ll be Little Miss NumbTongue (as opposed to Numbskull) - hee hee.
Oh, no, I hope that won’t be the case….does your numb tongue affect your taste buds? How awful for you.
Thinking of you
Hehehehe, certainly not little miss numbskull
I had some fillings done last week and this week so my mouth has been numb too. Been a very toothy fortnight for us
Hoping the pain eases!
Ruthy with the sore toothy…not a good couple of weeks for the two “Smileys”
Hey, what did you think of Noosa? I love Noosa! I love the boutiques on Hastings Street and the eateries. I also love Cato’s at the Sheraton. That’s where we stayed on out honeymoon. The river cruise is fun too.
I hope your mouth feels better after the trauma.
