Miss Phnomer in Cambodia

While living in Cambodia in 2003 on an Australian Youth Ambassador for Development volunteer placement (AusAid), I kept a diary of my experiences and observations. It was a fantastic time, I learnt a lot and met some great people. I’ll be progressively adding the entries over the next little while.

See Miss Phnomer in Cambodia for the entries.

Ruth, this is terrific. It would point out a lot of important guidelines for people who wish to know or travel to Cambodia. Thank you for sharing this with the world. I look forward to reading them again and hopefully with some images that you have shown me from your Cambodia album!

Thanks Amit! I hope to eventually expand it into more of a guide to living and travelling in Cambodia. And yes I do want to add some images asap.

    Hi
I am an online volunteer on Nabuur for Moung Rusey a Village in Cambodia. I have been working on a this village for sometime and i would like for Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development (AYAD) program which places skilled young Australian volunteers in Cambodia to include Our community on their Programme. The youth in the area want to set up Eco- tourism centre. Especially after Ruth ’s experiance in Cambodia

Thanks for your comment Ronald. I was really interested to read the information on the nabuur.com website. Seems like a great idea. You could read more about the AYAD program at the following website: http://www.ausaid.gov.au/youtham/default.cfm and perhaps contact them. The organisation in Cambodia who managed the program was CECI. Here’s their details:

The first email listed above is for a man called Hour who coordinates the AYAD volunteers. He would be a good person to contact.
